Surgery for breast asymmetry (uneven breasts)
No two breasts ever match exactly. Subtle differences in volume and nipple position are common. Sometimes these differences can be quite obvious and difficult to live with.
Surgery for breast asymmetry may involve:
- Overall breast enlargement
- Overall breast reduction
- Adjustment of one breast (enlargement of the smaller one or reduction of the bigger one)
- Adjustment of nipple position or breast shape
In addition to standard techniques of reduction, augmentation and mastopexy, fat grafting may be used.
